Steven Lowell Ulmer, 68, of Columbia, PA, passed away February 11, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on November 11, 1957 to Marianne Lowell Ulmer and Robert Ulmer in Lancaster, PA.

Steve attended Lampeter Strasburg High School and York College. He was an exceptional athlete in his youth and loved few things more than watching his children and grandchildren perform in athletics, theatre, and academics. He found so much joy in celebrating other people.

Steve was an exceptional father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend. He gave without burden, forgave without guilt, and loved without condition. Steve was passionate and mild-mannered, selfless beyond measure, and as gentle as he was tough. Steve made friends everywhere he went and the people lucky enough to be near him were changed for the better. He didn’t boast or domineer, he led by example and with fierce strength. Steve was a blessing to so many and he will be desperately missed.

He is survived by his wife Angela Loreto, his children Andrea Ulmer(Michelle), Kacey Ulmer, Megan Bigler, Cory Bigler (Elena), and Christopher Jones, his grandchildren Dylan, Faith, Anthony, Anneliese, Angelina, Amia, Gabriella, Dezmin, Cameron, Kaden, a very special niece Hannah (Chance), as well as his two brothers Robert Ulmer(Maureen) and Richard Ulmer(Sandra), and many more brother and sisters in law.
