Donald C. Fletcher Sr., 88, of Fountain, N.C. passed away peacefully at Wilson Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Born in Rapho Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he is the son of the Late Frank H. and Elinor E. Fletcher (Mutzabaugh).
Donald retired from Dana Inc. in 2003 but continued a part-time job at Darrenkamps Groceries in Mount Joy until 2011. He had a sweet tooth that knew no boundaries from Oreo’s, M&Ms, and Chocolate Ice-cream to Peppermint patties and Pepsi; he loved his sweets. Had he not bent down to pick up a chocolate cookie he had dropped, he might still be with us today! He was also an avid fan of classic western movies and enjoyed Country and Gospel Music. He was devoted to his faith, his love for Chocolate, and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Fletcher, PA, 10 children, Donnette Shoop (Lynn) NC, Donald Jr, (Bobbie) PA, Dwayne (Gerlinde) PA, Kevin, IN, Bonnie Pierce, NC, Kathy, NC, Teresa Rife, MA, Jeffrey, NC, Laurie Abel ( Jason) PA and Angie, AZ. 5 Step Children, Audrey Fletcher, PA, James Arroyo, PA, John Arroyo (Carol), PA, Louann Ludwig (Bruce), PA and Craig Arroyo Sr(Kim),PA. 49 Grandchildren, 73 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Sisters, Lois Smock (Barry), PA, and Sandy Gable, PA.
He is preceded in death by 8 Siblings, Frank, Robert, John, James, Ruth Treichler, Caroline Hodson, Shirley Riggleman, and Ann Derstler. 4 grandchildren, Terry Pierce, Chad Rapp, Jennifer Ludwig and Craig Arroyo, Jr and 2 Great Grandchildren, Nicholas Fletcher and Damien Heisey.
