Scott E. Greenawalt, 66, of Mountville passed away on May 2, 2026. He was born in Lancaster to the late Peter and Jean Carpenter Greenawalt and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Following the death of his mother when he was two years old, he was raised by his father and stepmother Alice Laukhuff Greenawalt. Scott was a graduate of McCaskey High School with the Class of 1978 and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he attended Millersville University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Most recently Scott was a truck driver for Best Price Propane. He was an avid runner and Penn State and Oakland Raiders fan. Scott also enjoyed family beach trips, especially to Lewes, DE.
Scott leaves behind his wife of twenty-four years Jill Greenawalt; two children Christopher, husband of Kristen Greenawalt, Amanda, wife of Lance Miller; his step-son Matt, husband of Heather Thomas; seven grandchildren; four siblings Jeff, husband of Diane Greenawalt, David Greenawalt, Kim Hall, and Joy Fowler; his best friend Kurt Frey; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother.
