She was devout Christian who loved the Lord.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 616 Locust St, Columbia, PA 17512.

The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow and she will be laid to rest with her parents at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Linda Lou Warfel, 83, of Lancaster passed away on April 24, 2026. She was born in Columbia to the late Paul and Verna Bughman Crouse and lived most of her life in this area.

Linda was a graduate of Penn Manor High School and went on to graduate from Penn State University earning her bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Following her graduation, she taught elementary school in Illinois and also Farmdale Elementary. After many years, Linda switched careers and was the Activity Director at the Mennonite Home until her retirement. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt who adored her family and treasured spending time with them. She was devout Christian who loved the Lord.

Linda leaves behind her husband of twenty-three years Gary Warfel; her son Jeff Brubaker; two brothers, Tom, husband of Rose Crouse of Lancaster, Joe, husband of Bette Crouse all of Lancaster; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
