Services for Nina will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26th at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. There will be no formal visitation.

Burial will follow at East Fairview Church of the Brethren Cemetery

Nina Mae Nelson, 83, of Salunga, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family on February 10, 2026. She was born in Manheim to the late Harvey Washington and Eva Mae Stermer Weaver and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Nina attended Manheim Central High School and worked as a machine operator with Fenner Drives until her retirement. One of her many gifts was designing, making, and selling jewelry to donate money to missions she supported. Nina loved watching football with her boys and enjoyed yard sales, canning, and gardening. She was a wonderful cook. Nina was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who adored her family and treasured spending time with them. Nina loved Jesus and attended Calvary Church.

Nina leaves behind five children, Frank S., husband of Tricia Flynn Nelson of Manheim, Eva R., wife of Rick Groff of Manheim, Andrea R. Nelson of Salunga, Eric S., husband of Kimberly Enck Nelson of Manheim, Sheila R. Nelson of Salunga; six grandchildren, Melanie, Maegan (spouse of Michael Smucker), Emilee, Tyler (spouse of Breanne), Brittany, and Dylan; fourteen great grandchildren, Isaac, Bryce, Elianna, Kendyll, Marcella, Isaiah, Marilys, Owen, Brayden, Eva, Masyn, Brooke, Oliver, and Mia; her brother, H. Ronald, husband of Miriam Weaver of Manheim; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twelve siblings.
