Gerald L. "Jerry" Brady

Jerry will be remembered for his friendly nature and personable manner

a celebration of life: Friday, September 4th at Columbia VFW from 12 to 4 PM

Gerald L. “Jerry” Brady, 78 of Manheim, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was the husband of Susan Turner Brady with whom he was married 43 years. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bessie Lowry Brady. 

Jerry retired in 2016 after 39 years of service from the K-Mart Corporation where he was employed as a receiving manager.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW Post 5752 and VFW Post 2435, American Legion Post 372, and the Amvets  Post 153. Jerry will be remembered for his friendly nature and personable manner, who especially enjoyed the company of his family and friends.

In addition to his wife are his children, Kristen wife of Scott Deel; LaDonna wife of Kenneth Edenfield; four grandchildren Logan, Beca, Bradley, and Tasha; two great grandchildren Willow and Aspen; his twin brother, Harold L. “Bud” husband of Elaine Brady; sisters, Catherine King and Barry Brady. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy, Robert, Jim, Kenny, Grace, Donald, Earl, and Mike. 

In lieu of services we will be holding a celebration of life Friday, September 4th at Columbia VFW from 12 to 4 PM. Instead of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior and or Tunnel to Towers Foundations.
