A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512.
The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Thomas C. Rankin, 72, of Wrightsville passed away on May 2, 2026. He was born in Lancaster to Mary Ann and the late Raymond Rankin and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Thomas was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School with the Class of 1971. He attended culinary classes at Willow Street Vo-Tech during his senior year and following graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with a degree in printing. He worked for a number of years with TV Guide. Thomas was an avid coin collector and Chicago Bears fan. He also enjoyed playing in the dart league at the Mount Joy American Legion Post 185. Thomas was a devoted son, father, brother, and uncle who adored his family and treasured spending time with them.
Thomas leaves behind his daughters Dulce Rankin of Marietta, Maya Rankin, wife of Kailee Mundis of York; his mother Mary Ann Rankin of Lancaster; two brothers, Raymond, Jr., husband of Michelle Rankin of Conestoga, Michael Rankin of Conestoga; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
