Scott A. "Biggs" Bigler, 65, a lifelong resident of Columbia, PA passed away on April 22, 2024 at home. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Kennedy) Bigler with whom he was married 44 years. Scott was born in Columbia on August 31, 1958 to the late James G. and Esther Emenheiser Bigler.

A graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1976, he was employed at Leggett & Platt, formally Harris Hub, as a shipping and receiving manager for 25 years. He also worked for SVNRC as a maintenance supervisor and with his son in plumbing and HVAC. He retired from The Titus Company as a shipping and receiving clerk.

Biggs was a well-known baseball and softball local legend. Over the years, he played on numerous teams across many counties, most notably Farrell's Maintenance, Andy's Market and Smith's Hotel hardball. He was a strong competitor in basketball, street hockey, bowling, and golf. He coached High School and CBAA baseball.

His hobbies included fishing, boating, gardening, cooking, and most recently he enjoyed riding his HD trike with his wife. He passionately loved to support his children and grandchildren in all their extracurricular activities and enjoyed attending his Tuesday morning "Breakfast Club." He was an avid Rams, Eagles, Phillies, USC and Penn State fan.

Scott was a member of Columbia-Middletown Elks # 1074; Columbia Fraternal Association, Chickies Rock Lodge 307 L.O.O.M; Columbia VFW Post 2435 and[KB1] the Columbia Fish & Game.

Biggs was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, neighbor and friend. He was our rock.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is his son Jesse (Amy Geesey) of Wrightsville; daughter Christine (Louis) Scarito-Thomas of Lancaster; brother Timothy (PJ) of Bainbridge; mother -in- law Patricia Kennedy of Columbia; grandchildren Morgan, Alaina, Brynn, Blake, Mason, & Lincoln. A host of extended family, nieces and nephews also survive.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. PLAY TO WIN! Biggs

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Peter's Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Saturday, April 27, 2024 promptly at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Augustine Joseph, Celebrant. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may view at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again at the church one hour prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution in Scott's memory may be made to the CBAA, PO Box 372, Columbia, PA 1751
