Sandra Kay Mullin, known to friends as Sandy, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, following years of battling Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Greene County, PA, Sandy was the beloved daughter of the late Doran and Thelma Zimmerman.
A graduate of Westminster College, Sandy earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. Caring for others was never just her profession – it was her calling. As a social worker, she tirelessly advocated for the vulnerable, while her role as a devoted mother and caretaker filled her home with love and stability. After 25 years of dedicated service, Sandy retired as the finance and personnel administrator at West Hempfield Township, allowing her to focus on reading, journaling, baking, traveling, and making special memories with her family and friends.
Sandy will be remembered for her generous spirit and creative eye. Sandy’s passion for the arts was reflected in her watercolor paintings, her lovingly crafted scrapbooks, her thoughtful interior design, her beautiful calligraphy, and her beach projects like painted seashells and seaglass windchimes.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jeffrey of Columbia, PA; her daughter, Shani, wife of Brian Evans, Lititz, PA; and her three cherished grandsons, Noah, Jacob, and Emerson Evans, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Zimmerman, and her son, Sean Weston, whom she held forever in her heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sandy’s memorial service at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
