Known as the “two-dollar bill man”, he would give a two-dollar bill to anyone he would meet.

A celebration of Richard’s life: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512.

The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

 

Richard Charles Null, 83, of Columbia passed away on March 15, 2024. He was born in Lancaster County to the late Charles, Sr. and Lydia Null and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Richard worked with Mount Joy Wire for sixty years. He was an avid hunter and bowler who also was an organized collector. Richard had raised pigeons since he was a little boy. Known as the “two-dollar bill man”, he would give a two-dollar bill to anyone he would meet.

Richard leaves behind his daughters, April Null of Marietta, Joanna Barton of Hempstead, NC, Debbie, wife of Bill Shaffer of Mount Wolf; five grandchildren, Nick, Michael, Jonathan, Ryan, and Melissa; four great grandchildren; his brother Charles, Jr., husband of Bonnie Null of Philipsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Rankin.
