Phyllis Ann Rinehart Jenkins

Phyllis Ann Rinehart Jenkins passed away on Sunday May 24, 2026 at Legend of Lititz.
Born in Ohio to Harry Rinehart and Pearl Yarnell Rinehart, the family relocated to Columbia Borough PA where Phyllis was raised. She graduated from Columbia High School, class of 1952 and worked at the Columbia Telephone Company for 24 years until it closed. She later worked for Dana Corporation before retiring.
Phyllis was married to Herald Wayne "Cork" Jenkins for 71 years until his death in November of 2025. Early in their marriage they enjoyed weekend boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Later they spent decades of summers in Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island, DE at their beloved beach trailers where they made many friends. Ever on the go, they rarely missed a happy hour. Together they traveled across the country, including visits to Hawaii and Mexico. Phyllis was a "material girl" who enjoyed dressing up in furs and costume jewelry to attend Masonic and Shreiner events with her husband. In the last couple of years, she became a regular at Hollywood casino's York location.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Jenkins Lintner (Joseph) and Craig Jenkins (Sue). Grandchildren Melissa Shirk, Philip Shirk (Ann), Brandy Jenkins Harnish (Shawn), Brittney Diaz (Mikey). Great grandchildren, Rodie Cox (Carley), Tyler Douglas (Kristin), Owen Shirk (Olivia), Parke Harnish, Destiny Diaz, Liam Diaz and Eleanor Diaz. Two great, great granddaughters, Oaklynn Shirk and Riley Cox. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Rinehart (Kathy) of York, PA. and sister-in-law Sheila Jenkins in addition to several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Rinehart Rutt.
