Frank R. Brommer, Sr. 86 of Maytown died at home, surrounded by the love and care of his family, on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born in Klinesville to the late Richard and Minerva (Bachman) Brommer. Frank is survived by his wife Gloria M. (Ricedorf) Brommer. whom he fell in love with when they were just teenagers and though they faced hardships they always made it through them and their love grew even deeper. They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 10th.
Frank was a devoted and loving father to his three children: Frank Brommer, Jr. husband of Jennifer, Cindy Greiner wife of Mike, and Brian Brommer husband of Jennifer.
Frank took great pride in being a parent and being present to support his two sons in Donegal Football and his daughter as a Donegal cheerleader. They will miss his advice and support and will remember the life lessons he imparted to them. Frank had seven grandchildren:
Joseph, Sarah, Joshua, Michael, Kyle, Rebecca, and Ryan. In addition, he had four great grandchildren: Jackson, Maverick, Hadley, and Carson. He is survived by his two sisters; Judy Wissler wife of Tom, and Deb Ansalvish wife of Bill.
Frank was a member of Columbia Fish and game, the N.R.A., and Toe Hill Hunting Camp. He will be remembered as someone who deeply appreciated the outdoors and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, but was especially proud of his skill to hunt wild turkey.
We couldn’t have asked for a more loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed every day. Frank’s memory will forever live in the hearts of all those who loved him, and were blessed to know him.
To honor Frank’s wishes there will be no services.
