A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
Friends may view at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
J. Elaine Klinestever, 89, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Hospice and Community Care. She was the wife of the late Robert F. "Butch" Klinestever with whom she was married 55 years until his death in 2013. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Verna Bongart Peters.
Elaine graduated from Columbia High School and was a longtime employee of the former Peoples Drug Store in Columbia where she retired as a pharmacy technician. An avid reader, she enjoyed watching gameshows, summer beach trips to Ocean City MD and chatting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Robert M. Klinestever; daughter, Anne L. wife of Allen Campbell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward G. Klinestever, an infant son and her sister, Joanne L. Murphy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ted Keating, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Friends may view at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
