Anna L. Zook, 94, of Mount Joy, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 after a brief illness at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jack R. Zook, who preceded her in death in 1991. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Christian C. and Margaret Adamire Warner.
Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured her family above all else. She took joy in tending to her own yard, dancing, and listening to the music she grew up with—especially Elvis. Nothing made her happier than watching her grandchildren grow and spending time with them.
Strong-willed and independent, Anna never hesitated to stand up for what she believed was right. She also had a deep love for her German Shepherds, especially Coal and Grizzly, whom she missed dearly after their passing.
Anna is survived by her children, Vanessa A. wife of George N. Leschke, Ronald E. Ault, husband of Eleanor Rapp, and George E. Zook and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her sister, Theresa Keysock.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by sons, Daniel L. Ault and Barry E. Ault and siblings, Francis M. Moffet, Earl Jacob Warner, Christian C. Warner, Margaret E. Gable, Charles J. Warner, Mary K. Gable, Samuel Warner, Elizabeth C. Graham, David R. Warner, and Averta M. Sahd.
Funeral services for Anna are private and she will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Mountville Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers or please consider a donation to a charity of one’s choice.
