Richard E. "Rick" Miltenberger, Jr., 59, of Wrightsville, formerly of Columbia, passed at his residence on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Mary Stauffer Miltenberger and the late Richard E. Miltenberger, Sr.

Rick was employed for the past 41 years at ITT Engineered Valves, Lancaster, where he worked as a nuclear inspector. He was a life member of the Wrightsville Scoial Club; Columbia Fraternal Association; a member of the Foresters of America, Susquehanna Court 235; Chickies Rock Lodge 307, L.O.O.M; American Legion Post 372 and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1306. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother are his children, Christine M. Miltenberger; Steven M. husband of Amanda Miltenberger; siblings, John R. husband of June Miltenberger; Sharon L. Miltenberger; Patricia A. Miltenberger; Donna J. Miltenberger; James A. Miltenberger and Susan M. Miltenberger. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. His brothers, Michael E. and Gary L. Miltenberger preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Beverly Kay Raff (Brenner) of 715 Walnut St. Columbia, PA died on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA. She was the wife of Joseph R. Raff, Jr. They were married on June 19, 1955. Born in Columbia, PA on July 30, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen Ada Mare Miller Brenner.

She held jobs at the following: Hanes Shoe Store, C.A. Herr Hardware, Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens and Brenner Accounting Services. She was a member of the First Church of God, Columbia. Bev loved her family and very much enjoyed spending time with them. Her family was her life.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter-in-law: Jo Raff of Columbia, PA and a brother: Joseph T. Brenner of Wrightsville, PA., grandchildren: Crystal R. wife of Richard Jensen and Joseph D. husband of Cristy Raff and great-grandchildren: Aaron Raff, Sophia Raff, Isabella Jensen and Liam Jensen. She was predeceased by a son: Joseph R. Raff III on March 22, 2013 and a daughter: Dianne K. Raff on April 5, 2013 and a sister: Doris Brenner Nock.

Margaret A. "Peg" Seibert, 78, of Lancaster, past away peacefully Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at home. She was the wife of Robert F. Seibert, Jr. with whom she was married 54 years. Born at home in Middleburg, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late John B. Jr. and Margaret Snook Schuck.

Peg graduated from Middleburg High School and Shippensburg University. She retired in 2002 after 25 years of service as a teacher at St. Leo the Great Catholic School, and had also taught in the Columbia Boro and Hempfield School Districts.

A member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, she enjoyed reading, puzzles, pinochle and giving piano lessons. Peg particularly enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach in Avalon, the family cabin in Orangeville PA, the EWAP Group and playing golf with the Four Seasons Women's Nine Hole Golf League.

In addition to her husband, are her sons, Steven R. Sr. husband of Peggy Jo Seibert, Mount Joy; Christopher J. Seibert, Middletown CT; twin sons, John A. Seibert, Shrewsbury; Joseph A. Seibert, Mount Joy; three grandchildren, Steven R. Jr. husband of Faith Seibert, Marana, AZ; Elizabeth Seibert, Stevens; Thomas Seibert, Middletown CT; five great-grandchildren, D'Angelo, Ruger, Raylan, Blake, Jordan; brother, Jeffrey B. Schuck married to William Graff, Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was preceded in death by her brother John B. Schuck, III.

David Santiago, 74, of Mount Joy passed away, surrounded by his loving family on March 12th, 2019. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Calixto and Josefa Santiago. David worked for over thirty years for Armstrong World Industries. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He treasured spending time with his family and playing games like dominos. David was a faithful member of Iglesia Restauración en Cristo Church and loved his church family.

 David leaves behind his wife of almost eighteen years, Eulogia “Dolly” Santiago of Mount Joy; two daughters, Lisa, wife of Brian Blessing of York, Nichole, wife of Jason Gutshall of Boalsburg; four grandchildren, Olivia, Loren, John, Adrianne; seven siblings, Crispin, Virginia, Alice, Otolio, Alfonso, Carmen, Wilson; three step-children, Anna, Lisette, Victor; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Carl August Haug, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1st, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbia to the late Carl Albert Haug and Anna Catherine Fisher and was the husband of the late Anna A. Haug who passed away in 2012. Raised in Ironville, Carl attended a one room school house and Concordia Lutheran Church. He graduated from Columbia High School with the Class of 1942 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was sent to the South Pacific and was stationed in New Guinea and the Admiralty Islands. Carl retired from RCA in 1985 as a test set electrician. Most older Columbians remember him as "Haugie" as he operated a TV repair shop for many years while working for RCA. Carl loved being with family and always looked forward to family gatherings. He enjoyed food and eating out, especially at Texas Roadhouse. Carl loved sitting by the river and sitting on his bench at home, relaxing in the sun. He looked forward to watching Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights.

Carl is survived by his eight children, Carla, wife of the late Carl Lindnberger of Columbia, Judy, wife of Bill Clark of Columbia, James, husband of Paula Haug of Columbia, Donna Haug of Columbia, Cathy, wife of George Berdiner of Millersville, Sue Wieler, wife of Don Gauntner of Seven Valleys, Sharon, wife of Larry Herr of Washington Boro, Jody, wife of Robert Croft of Washington Boro; nineteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Haug, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Glenn Allen Weaver, 59, of Columbia passed away on February 24th, 2019. He was born in Columbia to the late George H. and Elsie McCauley Weaver and was a lifelong resident of this area. Glenn attended Columbia High School and worked for more than thirty years at Grinnell and Anvil International.

Anna Mae "Sis" Edmond, 89, transitioned from earth to join the "Heavenly Choir" on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Anna Mae was the daughter of the late Edward and Estella M. (Randolph) Duncan and the wife of the late Leroy "Roy" Edmond. She was a 1947 graduate of Columbia High School. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward "Bud" Duncan of Pottsville, Pa.; her sister Josephine "Peonie" Duncan; her aunt Josephine Johnson; and her nephews Douglas Irons and Arthur "Doochie" Duncan. Anna Mae will be missed by many as she was a Godly "Village" Mom and homemaker. She was a self-employed seamstress and tailor who could create, repair and improvise fashions and anything that needed to be stitched on her sewing machine. She enjoyed knitting and "Nan-Nan" loved to create beautiful fashions and afghans for her grandchildren, family and friends. She would also knit lap blankets and donate them to charities. Anna Mae liked to relax by working word puzzles, reading and playing games, especially Scrabble with family, where she ruled as the relentless champion. Until her recent illness, Anna Mae served the community as the elected Columbia Borough Fifth Ward Election Board Minority Inspector.

Anna Mae's greatest joy was being in service to the Lord at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church. Deaconess Anna served faithfully in the Prayer Ministry of the church. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Singers, the Naomi Alliance Women's Ministry ages 40+ and the Julia Sweeney Davis Missionary Society. Deaconess Anna also served as the Chair of the Finance Committee and Vice-Chair of the Board of Stewards. Her faithful service and exemplary Christian life was recognized by the Philadelphia Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in May 2007 at the 191st Session when she was consecrated a "Deaconess" of the church. Deaconess Anna was also honored by Mount Zion A.M.E. Church after renovation of the social hall was completed, it was dedicated the Anna M. Edmond Social Hall.

Deaconess Anna is survived by her son, Charles Duncan and daughter-in-law Sandra of Columbia; son Sam Edmond of Marietta; daughter Tammy Edmond of Columbia; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family, friends and well-wishers are invited to attend the public viewing at Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut Street, Columbia on Thursday, February 28th from 6-8 p.m. and the Celebration of Life Christian service at: Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, 222 S. William J. Radziewicz, Sr., 70, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at York Hospital. Born in Shamokin, PA he was the son of the late Stanley and Regina Dermont Radziewicz. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from McCrory Stores where he was employed as a construction supervisor.

Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 469, Wrightsville; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5752, Mount Joy; Red Rose Memorial Post 2435, VFW, Columbia; Catholic War Veterans Post 1306, Columbia; Foresters of America, Columbia; Wrightsville Social Club and the Seagraves Social Club.

He is survived by his children, Melissa, wife of Jonathan Kline; William J. Radziewicz, Jr.; MSgt Stephen, husband of Rebecca Radziewicz; eight grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.

A Penn Manor graduate, Class of 1974, she also attended Millersville University. Jeanette was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Columbia and was a devoted homemaker. She spent many years in the banking profession, finishing her career at the Union Community Bank, Columbia. Active in the Columbia community and always ready to serve the public, she served in various capacities with the Columbia Life Network; Columbia Education Foundation and Homes of Hope. She served as treasurer of the CBAA for many years as well as serving on the Columbia School Board. For the past 12 years, Jeanette served as the Board President of the Columbia Public Library.

In addition to her husband are her children, Stephanie, wife of Jonathan Gerber; Nicholas Sherk; Thomas Sherk; grandsons, Jackson and Cameron; brothers, Nelson Witmer (Sandy) and Benjamin Witmer (Darla), as well as her two faithful companions, Charlie Beagle and Zibbie. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Witmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Saturday, February 23, 2019 promptly at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. He was an avid ice and roller hockey player before his car accident in 2011 that left him somewhat physically disabled. He also loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. Eric was a loving son, brother, and uncle who adored his family.

She will be remembered as the "Rock" of her family whom she loved dearly.

In addition to George, she is survived by two sons, Tyrone S. husband of Tara Simms; Michael A. Simms; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Charles Simms; Kevin Simms; Keith Simms; sisters, Pam Simms and Michelle wife of Darryl Grimms. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Craig and Stevie Simms.

Betty Kloidt, 89, of Columbia, PA passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019.

Betty was born on September 22, 1929 in Warren, Ohio. Her family moved to Columbia in 1934 at which time they became members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise Prugar, and the wife of the late William Kloidt, Sr. who passed away in May 2009 after celebrating 59 years of marriage.

A sister, Marian and a brother, Larry preceded her in death.

Betty was a kind and loving person to all those with whom she came in contact and was always complimentary.

Betty was a 1947 graduate of Columbia High School.

In 1973 she and her husband started Kloidt's Flower Shoppe. The shop was a staple on Locust Street in downtown Columbia for many years. She made many friends and acquaintances at the shop and years later she would come in contact with her former customers who recalled Betty arranging their wedding flowers or prom flowers.

The shop also sponsored a men's and a women's softball team in the late 70's and 80's. In 1990 Bill and Betty were awarded a lifetime membership in the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Betty is survived by her son, Bill Jr., and daughter-in-law, Donna Cremer; her daughter, Mary Louise Meyers; grandchildren: Gretchen Sargen (Sean), Elizabeth Smith (Tim) and Will Meyers and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Liam Sargen and Lillie, Nolan and Mason Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4th and Cherry Streets, Columbia with Rev. Stephen P. Kelley, Celebrant. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of Mass.

Suzanne "Sue" A. McVey, 78, of Columbia, PA passed away at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emily Smaling McVey.

Sue graduated in 1958 from Lancaster Catholic High School and was employed for many years at the former Grinnell Corp. Sue enjoyed watching QVC, the Eagles, shopping and eating out with friends.

She was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Michael and her fur babies: Murph, Jake and Will.

Sue is survived by several cousins, friends and her fur baby, Ben.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Columbia at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Kelley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Our Lady of the Angels School, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA 17512.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with Sue's lifetime friend, Fr. Barry Fischer.

Celebration of Life: Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

Jacqueline C. Pickle, 86, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2019. She was raised in Columbia by her late parents, Donald and Hazel Sampson Helwig. Jackie attended Columbia High School and graduated from Lancaster Business School. She retired in 1997 from her secretarial position at Donegal Mutual Insurance Company, Marietta.

She was an avid lifelong reader. She was known by all for her extensive knowledge of everything. In her retirement she volunteered at the Milanoff Schock Library, Mount Joy. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband of 67 years, Donald R. Pickle, Sr. who preceded her in death last November. Together they also enjoyed their mountain cabin in Pennsylvania and their trailer in Florida. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.

She leaves behind her children, Donald Jr., husband of Amy Pickle, Marietta; Jon, husband of Patricia Pickle, Conestoga; Susan, wife of Paul Enrico, Hellam; Julie, wife of Patrick Davis, Mount Joy; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan wife of Ernest Leo, New Cumberland.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Reich's Evangelical Church, 338 Stackstown Road, Marietta, PA 17547 with the Rev. Dan Blank, officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, 555 Gettysburg Pike, Suite A300, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Robert C. Weisser, 69, of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Doris Jones Weisser with whom he was married 38 years. A lifelong Columbia resident, he was the son of the late Robert V. Weisser and Rosealma Ziegler Kitch.

Bob attended Valley Forge Military Academy as a teenager, and he graduated from Columbia High School in 1967. He also attended the University of Miami where he was a Golden Glove boxer. Bob worked for Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 34 years as a brakeman and conductor, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and served as its President for ten years.

He enjoyed spending time on the Susquehanna River, riding motorcycles and sportscars, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife are his children, Christian R., husband of Traci Weisser; Courtney R., wife of Daniel Ott; five grandchildren, Cole and Carson Weisser; Ayla, Brody, and Crew Ott; brother, Joseph, husband of Deb Weisser; and half-sister, Margie McElhaney. Bob shared his birthday with two of his four grandsons.

A graveside service will be held in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Kelley, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Bob's memory to the Columbia Education Foundation, PO Box 548, Columbia, PA 17512.
