Pauline “Polly” W. Weiksner, 87, passed away at Mount Hope Nazarene Nursing Home on December 30th, 2018. She was born in Altoona, PA to the late John and Irene Hoar and was a lifelong resident of this area. Polly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Landisville and the East Petersburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed visiting Bethany Beach, DE with her family and taking care of the neighborhood cats. She also enjoyed trips back to her hometown and loved sports, especially football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Polly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored her family. She could always be found in the stands cheering on all of her grandchildren at their sporting events or band competitions.

Polly leaves behind her husband of sixty-five years, Gene B. Weiksner of Manheim; her children, Stephen, husband of Nada Weiksner of Marietta, Sheryl, wife of Carl Gehman of Ronks; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Mellard.

A visitation for Polly will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th, 2018 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 247 Main St, Landisville, PA 17538. She will be laid to rest at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Thursday, January 10th, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17604.
