James G. Smith, 30, of Columbia passed away on November 13th, 2018 following injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born in Columbia to Carl, Jr. and Debrah Smith and was a lifelong resident of this area. James was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 2006 and graduated from Lancaster County Career & Technology Center where he studied auto mechanics. He worked for almost ten years at St. Anne’s Retirement Community and for the last four years he worked at the former Colonial Metals. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors, but he absolutely loved being with his family and friends.

James leaves behind his son, Blade Smith of Marietta; his parents, Carl, Jr. husband of Debrah Smith of Columbia; his sister, Mandy Smith, companion of Michael Girdley of Marietta; his grandparents, James and Julie Zink of Columbia; several aunt’s, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl, Sr. and Janice Smith.

A Celebration of James’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St. Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Flowers will be accepted. Arrangements by the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc.
