Everett "Gene" Nagel, Sr.

He enjoyed motorcycle rides and trips to the family cabin in Perry County.

In honor of Gene’s final wishes there will be no formal services and any future services will be announced by his family. He will be laid to rest with his late wife and son at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Everett “Gene” Nagel, Sr., 81, of Marietta passed away on April 12, 2026. He was born in Lancaster to the late Edward and Cass Nagel and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Gene worked as a truck driver with Five Star International for many years. He enjoyed motorcycle rides and trips to the family cabin in Perry County. An active member of his community, Gene was President of the Marietta Special Fire Police. He was also a member of Bainbridge American Legion Post 197, the Legion Riders, Susquehanna Beneficial Association, and Marietta Beneficial Association. Gene was a loving uncle who adored his family and treasured spending time with them.

Gene leaves behind his niece Esther Gantz; beloved grandniece and grandnephew Allison Gantz and Tyler Sauder all of Marietta; his canine companion Carter and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Nagel in 2019 and his son Everett, Jr. in 1992.
