A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the chapel at the St. John’s Herr Estate, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia, PA 17512.
He will be laid to rest at a later date with his parents at Conestoga Memorial Park.
Earl T. Hibner, 84, of Columbia passed away on March 14, 2024 following a brief illness. He was born in Lancaster to the late Tyrrell and Theresa Hibner and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Earl was a graduate of McCaskey High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for Armstrong World Industries for his whole career as a researcher and retired in 1994. Earl enjoyed genealogy and spending time with his family.
Earl leaves behind his wife of sixty-three years Arlene Fry Hibner of Columbia; his children, Susan Hibner of Leola, Ken, husband of Robin Hibner of North Charleston, SC; one grandson, James Hibner of Summerville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Paul, Louise, and Joan Hibner; an infant grandchild, Kasey Hibner.
