Earl C. Schlotthauer, 72, of Columbia passed away on May 6th, 2019. He was born in Lancaster to the late Chester and Renata Bigler Schlotthauer and was a lifelong resident of this area. Earl graduated from Hempfield High School with the Class of 1965 and worked for fifty years at Alcoa Mill Products as an electrician. He enjoyed visiting Hershey Park, renaissance fairs, and concerts at American Music Theater. He was passionate about photography and collecting electronics. Earl was a loving brother and uncle who treasured time with his family.
Earl leaves behind his brothers, Paul and Alan Schlotthauer of Columbia; his nephews, Matt, husband of Amanda Schlotthauer of Columbia, Joseph, husband of Carin Schlotthauer of Klamath Falls, OR; three grandnieces/nephews, Abigail, Cayden, and Liam Schlotthauer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at Columbia Church of God, 39 N. 7th St, Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
