Dolores Weisser Wolgemuth
Dolores was active as a leader with the Girl Scouts and enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, word search puzzles, and shopping. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved buying Christmas presents for her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St, Columbia, PA 17512. There will be a visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
Dolores Weisser Wolgemuth, 88, passed away at home on November 4, 2026. She was born in Columbia to the late Paul and Anna Foelinger Weisser and was a lifelong resident of her beloved town. Dolores was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School with the Class of 1956. She was devoted to her husband and children. Once her children were off to school, she managed the Columbia Borough School District’s food service until her retirement.
Dolores was a lifelong and faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Mothers’ Club and Altar Rosary Society. She also volunteered with the sub and fastnacht fundraisers.

Dolores leaves behind her husband, Bern Wolgemuth, to whom she was married for sixty-four years; four children: Cecile, wife of Pat Carr of Ephrata, Bernie, Jr., husband of Beth Wolgemuth of Columbia, Kathleen, wife of Doug Kuhn of Columbia, Monica, wife of Bryan Stalford of Green Lane; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Wolgemuth and three siblings Rita Schultz, Ruth Pfizenmayer, and Paul Weisser, Jr.
