Dennis L. Kemmick, Jr.

Dennis L. Kemmick, Jr., 52, of Columbia passed away on September 2, 2025. He was born in Lancaster to Dennis, Sr. and Martha Kreiser Kemmick and lived most of his life in this area.

Dennis was a graduate of Hempfield High School with the Class of 1991 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps where he was an aircraft mechanic and became a crew chief where he earned his combat airwings and was a Gulf War Veteran. Known to have an entrepreneurial spirit, he owned and operated Diamond Lawn Care. Dennis was also known to help many along the way and served as wrestling coach and referee and a high school football coach. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, flying his airplane, and watching Penn State Wrestling. Dennis was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who adored his family and treasured spending time with them. He was a devoted and lifelong member of Kinderhook E.C. Church.

Dennis leaves behind his wife of almost twenty-six years Tabatha Kemmick of Columbia; four children, Anthony, husband of Leigh Ann Burke of Manheim, Brandon Burke of Ontario, CA, Denny, III, husband of Casey Kemmick of Chattanooga, TN, Breanna, wife of Tracy Hairston of Columbia; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mikayla, Nevaya, Ebony, and Aubreigh; his parents, Dennis, Sr. and Martha Kemmick of Columbia; his brother, David, husband of Laura Kemmick of Mount Joy; two nieces, Madeleine and Meredith Kemmick of Mount Joy; many family and friends.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Kinderhook E.C. Church, 560 Kinderhook Rd, Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
