A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Rising Sun Nutrition, 50 Lancaster Ave, Columbia, PA 17512.
Deborah Kay Swift, 68, of Columbia passed away, surrounded by her family on November 9, 2025. She was born in Rowenna, PA to the late Grover Widener and Virginia Stiffler and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Affectionately known as “Debbie Cakes”, she enjoyed taking care of her plants and family. Deborah also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her beloved dog, Lilo. She was a strong willed and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who adored her family and treasured spending time with them.
Deborah leaves behind four children, Scott Stiffler, husband of Donna Laird of Dallastown, James Turek, husband of Tara Miller of Columbia, Nikki Keperling, wife of Juan Plaza of Reading, Jasmine Stiffler of York; twelve grandchildren, Kelsey, Joshua, Sabrina, Destiny, Tyler, Ta’nyjah, Ameryah, Juan, Juelz, Ja’zyrah, Brittany and Courtney – whom she raised; ten great grandchildren, David, Kahleigh, Owen, Penelope, Yah’lani, Kion, Ilyas, Tillus, Amiere, and Messiah; four siblings, Gary, husband of Carol Kauffman of North Carolina, Rick Stiffler, companion of Sharon Sauder of Marietta, David Stiffler of Lancaster, and Stephanie, wife of Chuck Heath of Columbia; a host of nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Janet Turek and twenty-one siblings.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Rising Sun Nutrition, 50 Lancaster Ave, Columbia, PA 17512. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Amedisys Hospice, 1410 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
