Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM
Burial will follow in Silver Spring Cemetery.
Family and friends may view one hour prior to the service.
Betty "Pat" Jones-Markley, 90 of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. She was the wife of the late Jay "Sox" Markley with whom she was married 69 years until his death in 2023. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. and Arlene Christman Jones.
Pat was a devoted homemaker whose loving, caring, generous, and kind nature touched everyone she met. Her warm smile put others at ease and made them feel welcome in her home. She especially enjoyed watching scary movies with her grandson Jonathan.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Sharon, wife of Bob Suess and her grandson, Jonathan Suess. Her brother, Donnie Jones, many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Jay Allen Markley and her daughter, Tammy Lee Markley.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mark S. Kopp, officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Spring Cemetery. Family and friends may view one hour prior to the service.
