David L. Emert, 63, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born April 26, 1956 in Oil City, PA, he was the son of the late Gordon and Jean (Carlson) Emert. He was also preceded in death by Linda Latshaw, sister, and John Emert, brother. He was the loving companion of Rhonda Odenwalt.
Dave enjoyed camping, hunting, reminiscing and sharing stories of the past, and collecting cars. He loved spending time with his five grandchildren, Gabriel and Elias Cole, Tyler and Madison Odenwalt, and Logan Lefever.
In addition to his companion Rhonda and grandchildren, he is survived by his brother Mike Emert, husband of Justine, and sisters Karen Emert and Connie Mealy. He was also loved by his “adopted” children, Stacie Cole, wife of Rodney, Robert Odenwalt, husband of Linda, the late Mindy Odenwalt, extended family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on September 24, 2019 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Columbia, PA.
