Glenn F. Woods, 88, of Kinderhook, West Hempfield Township, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Joann Schlossman Woods with whom he was married 65 years. Born in Duncannon PA, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Blanche V. (Gambler) Woods.

He retired after many years of service from the ITT Grinnell Corporation where he was employed as a molder. Following his retirement, he worked for the Donegal School District in the custodial department. Glenn was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Columbia and was a lifetime member of the L.O.O.M. Lodge 307 and the B.P.O E # 1074 both in Columbia.

In addition to his wife are his brothers, Harry (Joyce) Woods; Fred (Peggy) Woods; sister, Nell Royer and many nieces and nephews. His brothers, June and Neil Woods and sister, Blanche Wimer preceded him in death.

Eckhard K. Schulz, 68, of East Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Maureen McCaffrey Schulz with whom he was married 22 years. Born in Bielefeld, West Germany, he was the son of the late Bruno and Ursula Faulwetter Schulz.

Better known to family and friends as "Eck," he graduated from Dover Area High School, Class of 1970 and Lehigh University in 1974 where he received his Bachelors Degree in Finance. He was employed for many years in his family's business, Atlas Manufacturing and retired in 2014 from Stewart – Amos Steel, Inc. in Harrisburg where he was employed as general manager.

Eck was an avid reader of crime fiction and had an impressive collection of first editions. He enjoyed family vacations and traveling. Eck was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, a master of political debates, and a bourbon connoisseur.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lucy S. Schulz, of Columbia PA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Clyde Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512.

Bulah O. Dougherty, 87, of Woodcrest Villa, formerly of Landisville, passed away on October 1, 2020 at Penn Medicine LGH. She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. "Doc" Dougherty with whom she was married 56 years until his death in 2009. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James and Berdie Oliver.

A graduate of Solanco High School and Lancaster Bible College, she was employed as a secretary for various companies including UGI where she met her future husband, Penn Mutual Insurance Company, and the Church of God of Landisville.

Bulah was an active and devoted member of the Church of God in Landisville, serving in many capacities and committees including the Bible Quiz Team. Alongside her late husband Doc, she enjoyed traveling which included touring all 50 states, the Holy Lands, Europe and Iceland, as well as cruising the islands. She also liked to bowl.

She is survived by her sons, Randall Dougherty; Richard Dougherty; grandsons, Eric, Justin (Bethany), Trevor, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Carson; sisters, Shirley Ackerman and Louise, wife of Hanson Poole. Her siblings Billie Oliver and Lucille Slaymaker preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held from the Church of God of Landisville, 171 Church St., Landisville, PA 17538 on Tuesday, OCTOBER 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Bistline, officiating. Interment will be private in Landisville Mennonite Cemetery prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of God of Landisville or to the American Cancer Society.

Miriam H. Freeland, 92, of Columbia passed away on September, 26th, 2020. She was born in Columbia to the late Abraham and Elizabeth Huber and was a lifetime and active resident of Columbia. Miriam was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1945 and worked for many years as a sewer with Columbia Garment Factory. Never one to drive, she would walk everywhere; even up to her final days. Miriam was very giving and enjoyed baking and giving away the food that she created, especially her mints. She also volunteered every Wednesday at The Columbia Food Bank. Miriam liked to travel and had visited several destinations across the country with her family and the ITT Grinnell Retirement Club. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family and treasured spending time with them. Miriam was a lifelong and faithful member of Columbia United Methodist Church.

Miriam leaves behind her daughter, Lee Ann, wife of Patrick Kinsley of Elizabethtown; her beloved granddaughter, Kelly Kinsley of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews and large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Freeland in 2012 and also six siblings.

Miriam’s public visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11th, 2020 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512. Gertrude “Trudy” Schoenenberger Eisenberger

Trudy, 92, of Columbia, passed on to Heaven on September 25th, 2020.  Trudy is survived by a son Mark A. Eisenberger and his wife Dyan of Columbia, and a daughter Beth A. Rohrer, and her husband Dudley G. Rohrer of Manheim. Trudy was born in Columbia and graduated from Columbia High School with the Class of 1945. She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Mountville.

She adored her family and treasured spending time with them at family get-togethers. Trudy loved her four grandchildren Amy Bailey, Audrey Gerold, Geoffrey Rohrer with wife Katlyn (Gerlach) and Johanna Rohrer. The six great- grandchildren, Jimi Griffith, Aliya Gerold, Brooke and Jack Bailey, Kora and Karalyn Rohrer brought her much joy and laughter!

Trudy loved and was loved by many friends and extended family. Her joyous nature affected everyone she knew. She liked to travel, square dance, and play the organ. She sang in the church choir and held tea parties for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks to all her caregivers, volunteers, friends and family who cared for her over the past six years during her health issues and decline. You are appreciated.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael W. Eisenberger as well as her husbands, Abram L. Eisenberger and George Ansalvich, and her parents Rudolf Earnest and Therese and brother, Earnest Schoenenberger.

A private graveside service will be held at the discretion of the family.

Celebration of life: Monday, September 28th, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home (Columbia)

Grace Elizabeth Bish (Gainer) passed away at home on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the ripe old age of 92. She was a feisty fighter until the end and ultimately succumbed after a long battle with heart disease and dementia.

She was the mother of 9, yes NINE, children and leaves behind five of them: George, Patricia, Tina, David and Barbara. From her children, she was blessed with a plethora of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren – so many that we lost count (she even has another great-great grandchild on the way but shhh you didn’t hear it here!)

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Bish Sr. and sons Charles Jr. (Butch), Dennis Michael (Mike), Glen and Daryl.

Grace was a spit fire of a woman who had a knack for telling people exactly how she felt – often with colorful language and a few “choice” words. She also kept her spunky attitude ‘til the end - as many a male nurse at LGH could tell you! ;)

Grace worked as a laborer at Grinnell for many years and retired in the 80s. Although she was no longer working, she busied herself with helping to babysit and take care of many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a very active member of the Women of the Moose and achieved the honor of becoming a member of the College of Regents. Grace volunteered at the nursing home and helped with managing weekly Bingo at the Moose. She also loved to travel and often signed up for bus trips and ceremonies associated with the Moose which gave her the opportunity to travel all around the country – some of the most notable trips she enjoyed were to the Finger Lakes in New York, Las Vegas and New Orleans. Although, even the local bus trips to the beach or other Moose lodges in PA brought her joy. She was lucky to have made lifelong friendships with other Women of the Moose as well. 

A celebration of Grace’s life will be held in her honor at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512 on Monday, September 28th, 2020. Family and Friends are invited to attend the viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. If attending, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Barbara Ann Dupree Warrick, 84, of West Hempfield Township, departed this earthly life on September 21, 2020. Born in Greensboro, N.C., to the late Jasper and Wenona Byrd Dupree, she served as a pastor’s wife, pianist and choir leader in the Silver Spring community for a number of years, capping a life of service in churches in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Raised and educated in Angier, N.C., Barbara was recognized early for her musical gifts, especially her voice, a lyric soprano of exceptional clarity and operatic range. Urged by teachers to pursue professional training, she instead answered to a different calling. After attending Campbell College, she met and married Eugene S. Warrick, who would soon embark on a career as a Baptist minister. The couple shepherded a number of churches across North Carolina, with Eugene serving as pastor while Barbara directed music, led the choir, played piano and frequently performed as a soloist. They were called to the Silver Spring Baptist Church in 1973 and ministered there for five years, departing the area after helping break ground for the new sanctuary the congregation now occupies on Marietta Pike in West Hempfield Township. The couple returned to Lancaster County after Eugene’s retirement.

Barbara was preceded in death by Eugene, her devoted husband of 59 years who passed away in 2015. She is survived by her brother, Billy Dupree, and his wife, Grace, of Angier, N.C.; her daughter, Gena Warrick Fisher, wife of Ed Fisher, of West Hempfield Township; and her son, Joby Warrick, husband of Maryanne Jordan Warrick, of Centreville. Va. She was a loving grandmother to Brant Fisher, of Moon Township, Pa.; Erin Fisher Josephian of Marietta, Pa., Victoria Warrick, of Mamaroneck, NY; and Andrew Warrick, of Gainesville, Va.; and a doting great-grandmother to Luella Fisher and Ryker Josephian.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Silver Spring Baptist Church, 4001 Marietta Ave, Silver Spring, Pa. Family visitation will take place at the church an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Silver Spring Baptist Church would be gratefully accepted. Joanne Y. Zink (Shultz), 85, of Columbia, passed away at home on September 20, 2020. She was the widow of her loving husband, Elmer Zink, her “Honey Bunny,” who passed away in December 2018. They were married for 66 years.

Born in Columbia, Joanne was the daughter of Abram A and Mary E. (Bink) Shultz. 

Joanne was an active member of the Columbia United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Church Choir and was a member of United Methodist Women.

Joanne was a wonderful mother who loved animals, and especially her beloved cat, Chloe.  She was the former luncheonette manager at Woolworth’s, Columbia, for several years after which she was a nurse at Columbia Hospital for about 20 years.  She was a member of AARP Centerville Travel Group and enjoyed touring around the country.  Surviving, are her children, a son, Elmer Zink, of Columbia; two daughters, Brenda Kay Lofquist, wife of Gene, of Deerwood, MN; and Melody Ann Collier, Columbia; nine grandchildren, Michael Zink; Joshua Zink; Stephanie Pettit, Benjamin Zink, Jonathan Zink, Jason Quinn, Eric Quinn, David Zink, and Anthony Collier: and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lou Zink; her parents; and a brother, Leroy Shultz.

Thomas “Tom” S. Seifried, 69, of Elizabethtown formally from State College Pa, passed away the morning of Friday September 18,2020, he is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Seifried (Mathias). Tom was the son of the late Walter “Steve” G. and Mary Seifried.

He retired in 2010 after 42 years of service with Armstrong World Industries; where he last worked as Plant Manager for the Beechcreek Plant in Beechcreek, Pennsylvania. A veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Tom was an active golfer, who could be regularly found at the Penn State Golf Courses over many weekday mornings for several years. Tom was also a member of the Bear Paw Rod & Gun Club located in Driftwood, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well on the Susquehanna River and other locales.

 Tom is survived by his children Dr. Chad S. Seifried, of Baton Rouge, LA; and Thomas M. Seifried, of Dubois, PA, along with his wife Emily and their two children, Jameson and Jacob. Also surviving is his brother  Steve husband of Nancy Seifried (Columbia, PA), Christina Seifried Morrison (Manahawkin, NJ), and Frances wife of John Wagner (Beaufort, SC).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church 4th & Cherry Streets Columbia, PA. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:00AM with Rev. Fr. Roger L. Mellott, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on September 14, 2020 at Wellspan, Ephrata. He was the husband of the late Lois Kling Mellott who preceded him in death in 2007. Born in Indiana, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Burkey Mellott.

Roger graduated from Cocalico High School, Class of 1972 and proudly served his country in the U.S.M.C. in the Vietnam War. He retired in 2012 from the Bob Evans Restaurant in Hershey.

He was a member of the Ephrata Community Church and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1008. Roger enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved the Christmas Holidays.

He is survived by a step daughter, Mellissa L. Melendez; brother Ralph E., husband of Pamela Mellott; sister Mildred A. Perdue and his niece, Crystal R. Statler also survives. His sister Cynthia J. Statler, preceded him in death in 2006.

Charles loved his family and friends, helping anyone that he could. He also loved Columbia, even serving as a grand marshal for the annual Halloween parade.

Charles H. Donnan, 92, of Columbia, died early Wednesday morning at Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where he had resided for the past four years. He was married 51 years to his wife, Wilma (Witmer) Donnan, who preceded him death. Born and raised in Columbia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna (Shaeffer) Donnan. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. and the former Marietta Army Depot. Charles served his country during WWII in the Navy.

Charles was an avid fisherman, enjoying trips to the Chesapeake Bay for deep sea fishing. He was also a member of the Columbia Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and a member of the Columbia Foresters of America, which he served as treasurer for 20+ years.

Charles loved his family and friends, helping anyone that he could. He also loved Columbia, even serving as a grand marshal for the annual Halloween parade.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas Donnan, Leo Coolidge, Ellie Coolidge; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Mary Jane (Donnan) Salvatore, Columbia, daughter-in-law, Ella Marie (Geltz) Coolidge-Donnan, Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews, who lovingly referred to him as Unc. His ex-wife Caroline (Arbitina) Donnan, son, Charles J. Donnan, and siblings, Elizabeth Donnan, David Donnan, John Donnan, Thomas Donnan, William Donnan, and Samuel Donnan, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Tuesday, September 22nd at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. Kelley officiating. Interment in Riverview Burial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Thomas Wayne Helton was born in Brewton, Alabama to Willie Von & Grover Cleveland Helton Jr. and passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home. He will be deeply missed by his large family and many friends. Heaven gained a selfless and loving man.

Wayne grew up in Marietta and lived most of his life in Columbia. He was a skilled and sought after electrician for decades. He was also a devout Christian and spent his life finding strength in his faith and could be heard randomly singing his favorite Christian music.  When he was lost, he knew who to turn to.

He was “Uncle Wayne” to dozens of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He treasured taking his kids, grandsons, and others on adventures to the drive in, the zoo, carnivals, beaches, Hershey Park or just down to the park and basketball court. Wayne loved children, as they reminded him of the simple joys of life and because he was a big kid himself who searched for fun.

He was active all his life, and enjoyed basketball, football, and golf. He never missed an Alabama football game (Roll Tide!).  He loved riding his bike on the river trail and taking his dog Chewy on long walks. Wayne was the guy you know you’d see walking Columbia on the days he could, greeting you with his charming, genuine smile.

Wayne was terrible at receiving gifts but had the biggest heart and would, as the saying goes, literally give you the shirt off his back. He was a loner later in life, but always welcomed a good friend. He spent his time taking care of his mother and their home on 3rd street. Like most of us, Wayne had inner struggles he faced with bravery and pride. He was his own worst critic. He was also passionate, hilarious, loved learning, and he will live on in those he loved and who loved him.

Wayne was looking forward to spending time watching his grandsons grow.  He was adored by his daughters and grandsons.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother Willie Von Helton, father Grover Cleveland Helton Jr., his sister Sharon (Bonnie) Nace, nephew Joe Helton, and great nephews Tyler Helton and Dallas Oberdorff.

Wayne is survived by his daughters Chrystal Helton of Klamath, CA and Angela Fischer of Marietta; his three grandsons CJ, Eddie, and Pete Norris of Klamath, CA; and his twelve brothers and sisters: Grover (Angie) Helton III, Richard (Betty) Helton, James (Biddie) Helton, Johnny (Donna) Helton, JoAn (Curtis) Siegrist, Kathy Wolpert, Michael (Diana) Helton, Larry (Judy) Helton, Lynn (Randy) Shank, Gary Helton, Aubrey Helton, and Lucy (Eddie) Hess. He is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and all of his friends and old loves.

H. Michael Murry, 68, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Mary L. "Weezie" Geltz Murry with whom he was married 32 years. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Harold D. and Ellen Campbell Murry.

Mike was the owner and operator of Michael Murry Plumbing and Heating for over thirty years, having recently retired. He was a member of the Red Rose Memorial Post 2435, VFW and the L.O.O.M. Chickies Rock Lodge 307.

In addition to his wife are his children, Alicia, wife of Danny Doss; Michelle Hilton; David, husband of Stacey Geltz; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John, husband of Carol Murry; Shane, husband of Laurie Murry; sisters, Alma, wife of Ed Cornelius; Tish, wife of Rick Noll; Kathy, wife of Mac Adams; Barb Abel and Annette Simione. His son, Joshua Murry, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at the Kinderhook E.C. Church, 560 Kinderhook Road, Columbia, PA 17512 on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Christian D. Serrano, 12, of Silver Spring, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he is the son of Nestor "Danny" and Margaret Serrano, with whom he resided.

Christian enjoyed trips to Wildwood, NJ with his family, carnival rides, baseball, swing sets, being tickled, and bouncing on his yoga ball.

In addition to his parents are his brothers, Nathaniel; Nestor; Andrew; sisters, Angelina; Cassandra; Lissandra; Melanie; paternal grandmother, Virginia Vazquez and maternal grandparents, Ronald and Margaret Weaver.

Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 247 Main St., Landisville, PA on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Anthony Swamy, officiating. Interment will follow in Silver Spring Cemetery. Friends may view one hour prior to the service. COVID 19 protocols limit funeral home capacity. Seating is limited. Please arrive early and masks will be required. Thomas George Sahd, 72, of Lancaster passed away on September 11th, 2020. He was born in Columbia to the late Charles and Elizabeth Elias Sahd.

Tom was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School with the Class of 1965 and proudly served in the Air National Guard. He was a graduate of Thompson College and worked for the Lancaster Newspapers for many years as the district sales manager until his retirement. Tom was first and foremost a loyal family man. His hobbies included maintaining a pristine yard (ask the neighbors) and specializing in his “Grandpa’s famous meatball” recipe. Tom had an outgoing personality and a gift for making friends easily. He was compassionate and radiated positivity to the world around him. Tom had the ability to make everyone feel comfortable. If you were a guest in his home, you were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. You would often see Tom running errands around town in his “vintage” automobile, picking up mulch for his yard or meeting his fellow retirees for breakfast, coffee, or pie most every day. His happiness was omnipresent – from the way he whistled while doing just about anything to hearing him speak of the professional and personal achievements of his children.  It’s a tremendous loss for his wife, children, and extended family. Tom adored his family and treasured spending time with his granddaughter.

Tom leaves behind his wife of almost 49 years Marianne McEvoy Sahd of Lancaster; two sons, Nicholaus, husband of Lyndell Sahd of Lancaster, Patrick Sahd of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Claire Sahd of Lancaster; brother, Michael, husband of Elonda Sahd of Columbia; brother-in-law, Michael Kane of Washington Boro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Kane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601. Joseph Thomas Brenner, 95, of 514 S. 6th St., Wrightsville, PA passed away on August 23, 2020 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Pearl Kemmick Brenner who preceded him in death on August, 4, 2017. Born in Columbia, PA he was the son of the late Charles M. and Ellen Miller Brenner.

Joe was a licensed Public Accountant having owned and operated Brenner Accounting Services in Wrightsville from 1962 until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wrightsville. He was a Life Member of the following: Wrightsville American Legion Post #469, Red Rose Memorial Post #2435 VFW in Columbia and the Columbia/Middletown Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks. He served on Wrightsville Boro Council from 1960-1968 and as President of Boro Council from 1962-1968.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII having served in both the European Theater and Pacific Theaters of Operations. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and the Thompson Institute of Accounting.

Surviving are 2 sons: Gregory J. Brenner companion of Carol Willoughby of Wilmington, NC and Keith T. husband of Sandy Brenner of Columbia, PA., grandsons: Chad Brenner of Philadelphia, PA., Ryan husband of Karen Brenner of Wrightsville, PA and Brett husband of Allison Brenner of Bedford, VA. and great-grandchildren:Cole Brenner, Parker Brenner, Amelia Brenner, Eve Brenner and Felix Brenner. He was predeceased by sisters: Doris Nock and Beverly Raff.

Full Military Honors will be presented to Joe at the Fairview Cemetery in Wrightsville by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard and the VET 21 Gun Salute.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date and will be announced when scheduled.

Betty Lou Fisher Resh, 95, of Columbia passed away on August 29th, 2020. She was born in Columbia to the late Eugene and Annie Bard Fisher and was a lifelong resident of Columbia. Betty was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1941. She worked for many years in the cafeteria at Park Elementary before retiring from Magic Year Day Care. Betty enjoyed visiting the casino and loved breakfast at Hinkle’s Pharmacy. She adored her family and treasured spending time with them at family get-togethers.

Betty leaves behind her children, Gordy, husband of Tina Resh of Columbia, Rick, husband of Kim Resh of Mechanicsburg, Holly Resh of Columbia; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31st, 2020 where Betty will be laid to rest at by her late husband, Gordon, at Silver Spring Cemetery. Sally Ann Weaver, 73 of 4318 Fairview Rd., Columbia, PA passed away at her residence on August 21, 2020. She went peacefully to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Hank C. Weaver. Born in Columbia, PA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sara Eckert Hinkle. She retired from the Accounting Department of Donegal Mutual Insurance Co. where she was employed for over 20 years.

Sally loved spending time with her husband, daughter and granddaughters, loved gardening and had a passion for animals. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Hospice and Community Care for the care and compassion shown to Sally.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter: Gina wife of Tony Dague of Lancaster, PA, granddaughters: Hannah and Lauren, step-daughters: Rosemary Weaver, Jean Graham, and Patricia Gartley, wife of Jamie Gartley, and a sister: Carole wife of Gerald Schwebel of Lancaster, PA and niece: Tammy Klase Ault.

Surviving are Sisters: Cora wife of Larry Dowdle of York, PA, Judith wife of George Benson of Columbia, PA, Joanne wife of Rosemond Gilbert of York, PA, Beverly wife of Melvin Sloan of Seneca, SC, Gloria Jean wife of William Boyer of Lancaster PA, Diane Parker of York, PA and Cathy wife of Charles Sanders of Marietta, PA and Brothers: Thomas Jankans of Columbia, PA, Tony husband of Sonia Henderson of Columbia, PA and Shawnte Henderson of York, PA and a number of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Richard E. Lefler, 88 of Columbia passed away on August 18th, 2020 following a period of declining health. He was born in Badin, NC to the late William and Elizabeth Shaver Lefler. Richard worked as a teacher in Baltimore County Schools for a number of years and then as an advisor at Community Services Group before his retirement in 1997. Richard also owned his own shop with his late wife, Needle’s Eye Yarns and Crafts, in York and Hellam.

Richard leaves behind his daughter, Hannah, wife of Charles Maney of Mt. Pleasant, MI; three grandchildren, Clayton, husband of Madelyn Maney of Traverse City, MI, Cara Maney of Lansing, MI, Tim Baker of Edinburgh, SCT; his great granddaughter, Esme Maney of Traverse City, MI. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Grace Lefler in March of 2020, his daughter Marie Baker, and his siblings.
